A COVID -19 MIRACLE - TESTIMONY (DANIEL MAHATOO)

2021 by far has been one of the most challenging years for me. I was tested positive with COVID-19 in May. I was hospitalized at 3 hospitals for a total of 60 days.

After the first week I went into ICU and despite the doctors’ efforts my condition had deteriorated to the point that I needed to be intubated and placed on a ventilator. During that time my kidneys started failing, my lungs were severely damaged, blood count dropped significantly which had high potassium levels with a high risk of heart failure. I received dialysis 3 times and 2 blood transfusions.

Daily, my wife received bad news, all the while she was praying, along with family, relatives, friends, my entire church and literally anyone who heard of my ill health. The doctors would tell her expect the worse. But her faith was strong, and she had the support of many. Against the odds, they believed God was still in control.

After 9 days on the ventilator, I started waking up, totally disoriented and for a while I didn’t know where I was or what had happened to me. I became so weak that I couldn’t lift my arms. My muscles were degenerated, and I lost the ability to stand, much more walk. I lost approximately 45lbs in less than a month. I experienced significant hair loss, major skin shedding and loss my voice due to the tube that was inserted through my nostrils and down my throat for feeding while being ventilated.

Long story short, God miraculously restored my health, over a few weeks, every organ was healed, and my strength gradually restored, and I was able to walk out the hospital without assistance, not having to return for any treatment. My Strength continued to be restored over the few months that followed and on Christmas eve I was able to visit some of doctors and nurses, to express a personal thank you, as one of the less than 10% survivors of such severe Covid cases.

I’m sincerely thankful for the diligence of the medical staff at Caura, Couva and Mt Hope Covid facilities. I also wish to express my gratitude to family, relatives, friends, and coworkers who supported me and my family during that time. As we approach 2022, consider each day as a gift and cherish those around you, pray without ceasing and trust that the grace and love of God would see you through every challenge. Jesus Loves you, Blessings.
